It is school time again and you might have kids off to college . They many mean different things to different people . If you children are off to school you probably have a few fears about it . There is nothing wrong with it; as a matter of fact it is perfectly normal. You have raised your children and done everything in your power to ensure they are in a safe and productive environment. Once they’re off to college it is up to them to make sure they are safe. You are not there every day to make sure they are safe .

Most colleges are pretty big and have many different types of people there . Most people are there to better their lives and do the best they can . They also do not come with any of the negatives that can be part of using pepper spray or a stun gun. When you are using either pepper spray or a stun gun there is the chance that it can be taken away and used against you. I’m not saying they are a bad way to protect yourself they are just a bit riskier . So if you are a parent that wants to get a super easy to use self defense product for your child I highly recommend getting them a personal alarm.

The next up for self defense choices is Stun Guns . You have probably have read a lot of the other stuff I have written about pepper spray. I won’t lie; I’m kind of a nut when it comes to the stuff. It is very versatile and comes in an ocean of different shapes, sizes, and potency. You can pick pretty much anyone you want and you’re going to get some fantastic results.

There are also a few myths about pepper spray that I would like to shed some light on . A lot of people believe that pepper spray is dangerous chemically engineered substance that poses a lot of risks to anyone it is used on. They could not be further from the truth . To put it simply, pepper spray at its base is an extract of red pepper that is highly purified. It can pose a danger to an individual that has respiratory issue or if used in extremely large amounts but most of the time it is perfectly safe.

I personally feel pepper spray is the best option for anyone who is in college. The many shapes and sizes it comes in make it perfect to take anywhere. Your child can use a small pepper spray to keep on their key ring. To top off their protection they could use a larger bottle to keep in their vehicle , purse, or pocket . There are also several different types including bottles that look like pagers, tubes of lipstick, or even walking weights. There are plenty of choice so rest assured you kind fine the perfect solution for your child .

Both of these self defense products are very effective and both carry their advantages and disadvantages. So if you have a child that is going off to college this year or even one that is already in college I recommend getting them a personal alarm or some pepper spray. It will make you feel much better about the safety of your child and I’m sure they will as well.
